Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Dryer vent cleaning in La Mirada usually takes about an hour and runs between $140 and $220 for a standard single-story lint removal. We work homes in 90637, 90638, and 90639 every week, and we know the mid-century floor plans here well enough to find the vent run fast. Call (833) 467-7685 to schedule a sweep and we’ll confirm your price before we start.
Why Ontario Chimney Is La Mirada’s Preferred Dryer Vent Cleaning Company
La Mirada homeowners call us because we treat dryer vents as a fire-safety line, not a quick add-on job. Our Dryer Vent Cleaning technicians work the same neighborhoods repeatedly, so when a homeowner near Behringer Park or off Foster Road tells us their dryer takes two cycles to finish a load, we already know the likely layout before we arrive. Al Vickers runs our crews, and he’s particular about documenting everything we pull out of a vent. We show you the lint, the crushed flex, the nest – whatever’s in there – and we tell you plainly whether the line is worth saving or should be replaced with smooth metal.
We are not a handyman service that added dryer vents to a list. Venting is a core line of work for us, and that matters when the vent termination sits in a chase shared with a chimney that hasn’t been opened in a decade. We service La Mirada as a local call area from Ontario, and the drive time means we know exactly what to expect from the tract homes between Alondra and Imperial Highway, not a generic suburb.

Our Dryer Vent Cleaning Services in La Mirada
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Standard cleaning here means pulling the dryer out, disconnecting the flex line, brushing the full run to the exterior termination, and removing every bit of accumulated lint we can reach. Many La Mirada homes still have the original single-wall metal or corrugated flex runs installed in the 1960s and 70s, and those old flex lines sag between the laundry niche and the outside wall. We clean them thoroughly but we’ll be direct with you if replacement is the safer call.
Dryer Vent Lint Removal
Lint removal in La Mirada is rarely a simple clog. The combination of decades-old corrugated lines, long horizontal runs through mid-century floor plans, and years of accumulated dryer sheet residue means we often pull several pounds of packed lint from a single vent. We use a rotary brush and HEPA vacuum to keep that lint from blowing back into your laundry room, and we photograph the finished run so you can see it’s clean to the termination.
Factory-Built Fireplace and Prefabricated Chase Inspection
This is the piece most La Mirada homeowners skip. A factory-built fireplace from the 1980s or a newer direct-vent unit looks fine from the living room, but the chase top and cap assembly sit exposed to every Santa Ana wind and winter rain that hits the 90638 hills. We inspect the cap, the chase flashing, the vent piping, and the termination, because a prefab fireplace pulling combustion air through a damaged chase is a carbon monoxide risk even when the firebox looks clean. The gas valve and vent connections on these units also need looking at, not just the firebox.
Dryer Vent Line Replacement Consultation
When the corrugated flex is too crushed or packed to clean safely, we don’t just tell you to call someone else. We measure the run, show you the damage on camera, and explain what a smooth metal replacement would cost in La Mirada. We recommend rigid or semi-rigid metal because it moves air better than flex and doesn’t trap lint in the same way. The call is yours; the evidence is ours to show you.
Trusted Brands We Service in La Mirada
We work with the professional-grade venting and fireplace components we’d spec on our own homes. That includes Famco termination caps and dampers, Copperfield venting and chase components, and DuraFlex liner systems when a La Mirada flue needs relining. We carry the common sizes and fittings for these systems, so when we find a corroded cap on an Alondra-area chase or a cracked vent collar on a Foster Road prefab unit, we’re not telling you to wait a week for a part to ship. The advantage of using one company for both chimney and dryer vent work is that the parts we stock serve both systems.

AfterCommon Dryer Vent Cleaning Problems We See in La Mirada Homes
- Sagging corrugated flex lines. The original builders in 1955-1970 La Mirada tracts often used the cheapest flex available, and after four or five decades it sags between the dryer and the exterior wall. Lint catches in every low spot, and airflow drops until the dryer overheats.
- Lint packed at the termination flap. La Mirada’s dry climate means lint blows through the line and cakes against the exterior damper, especially on east-facing walls that catch the Santa Ana winds. The flap stops opening, the dryer heats up, and the lint bakes onto the mesh.
- Bird and rodent nests in dormant vents. Vents that terminate at ground level or through a chase on a 90638 home sit unused for stretches, and starlings and roof rats find them. We pull nests out regularly, and they’re often packed in with years of lint.
- Homeowners assuming a newer-looking fireplace means the whole chase is safe. A direct-vent prefab unit from the 1990s can have a rusted chase cap and a cracked vent collar that no one has looked at since installation. The firebox works, so the chase goes unchecked until a rain event sends water down the flue.
Pricing for Dryer Vent Cleaning in La Mirada, CA
A standard dryer vent cleaning in La Mirada runs $140 to $220 depending on the run length, number of bends, and whether the termination is accessible from a one-story or two-story wall. If we’re also inspecting a prefabricated fireplace chase and cap as part of the same visit, expect $225 to $350 for the combined service. Corrugated flex replacement typically adds $90 to $200 in materials and labor depending on the run length. We quote your exact price before any work begins, in writing, and we don’t charge for the estimate. Call (833) 467-7685 and we’ll give you a firm number based on your address in 90637, 90638, or 90639.

FAQs – Dryer Vent Cleaning in La Mirada
A newer-looking La Mirada home often has a factory-built fireplace and a prefabricated chase that sit exposed to weather, and the vent connections at the unit level age just like any other appliance part. The gas valve, vent collar, and chase cap all wear, and a cap that looks fine from the yard can be corroded underneath. We inspect these annually because a sealed direct-vent unit can push carbon monoxide into the house if the vent path is compromised, even when the firebox burns clean. Call (833) 467-7685 to schedule an inspection.
In many La Mirada tract homes, the dryer vent terminates through the same exterior wall or chase as the fireplace, especially in 90638 floor plans where the laundry niche sits near the family room fireplace. A blocked dryer vent and a debris-clogged flue are often found in the same visit, because both systems share the chase and both sit idle for stretches. We can inspect both in one trip, so you’re not paying two companies to open the same wall twice.
Clothes taking two cycles to dry is the big one. You may also notice the dryer exterior getting hot, a burning smell during a cycle, or the exterior vent flap not opening when the dryer runs. In La Mirada’s dry climate, lint bakes hard against the duct walls, so the blockage often doesn’t blow out on its own. If you’re seeing any of these, call (833) 467-7685 and we’ll clear the line.
Yes, if you ask us to inspect it while we’re there. In La Mirada, many fireplaces sit unused for years, so when we’re already at the house pulling a bird nest out of the dryer vent, we can look at the flue and damper too. We know what Al Vickers would say about the 90638 tract homes we service: disused flues collect the same debris that blocks dryer vents, and both need a human eye on them.
We service Famco caps and dampers, Copperfield venting components, and DuraFlex liner systems, along with the factory-built fireplace brands we encounter in La Mirada’s 1970s through 1990s homes. If you have a direct-vent or B-vent prefab unit, give us the make and model when you call (833) 467-7685 and we’ll confirm we have the fittings on hand before we schedule.
